Women and men register for classes at the Central Branch building - 30 Third Avenue.

From its earliest days, the YWCA of Brooklyn sought to assist young women in a variety of ways.  They held church services and entertainment programs, hosted parties and suppers, built a gymnasium to aid in improving physical fitness, and offered classes in a variety of subjects to help women gain skills to earn a living. As the world changed and the needs of employers changed with it, the classes offered by the YWCA also changed.
